In the opener of the Stanley Cup final, Nick Bonino scored with 2:33 remaining to give Pittsburgh a 3-2 win over the San Jose Sharks.

In the NBA Western final, Golden State rallied from a 13 point deficit to beat Oklahoma City 96-88 in the 7th and deciding game. The Warriors will again face the Cleveland Cavaliers for the championship.

Many Tragically Hip Fans Left Disappointed After Ticket Pre-Sale

There were some happy and unhappy Tragically Hip fans yesterday.

They were hoping to snatch up some pre-sale tickets,  but fans say the tickets sold out in minutes, and to make them even more upset, tickets began showing up on other websites, like stubhub and kijiji, selling for upwards of a $1000 each.

K-V-H-S Wins National Championship

Kennebecasis Valley High won the 2016 National Reach for the Top Championship over Eric Hamber Secondary School of Vancouver in the final after coming back from a 110 point deficit.

The Vancouver school took a quick 70 point lead at the start and led by 110 points before the Crusaders rallied and pulled away in the third round.

The win represents the third National Championship for K-V-H-S in the last six years, having also won in 2010 and 2011.

SJ Water 'Confident' Situation Which Caused Boil Order Won't Reoccur

Saint John Water is 'confident' the situation which caused the widespread boil water order earlier this month won't happen again, as the root cause of the problem is said to have been fixed.

An incident report on this has been completed and presented to Common Council. Water Commissioner Brent McGovern told council that while sometimes the cause of boil water orders are straightforward this one was slightly more complex. 

A Reminder of Cruise Ship Season Arrives Tomorrow

Get ready to see a lot of extra people in the Port City over the next two days.

The 2016 cruise ship season began back on May 9th and resumes with the arrival of the Grandeur of the Seas in port tomorrow.

Another ship, the Norwegian Gem with 2200 passengers, is due in port on Wednesday.

The cruise ship season features four different triple ship days and one quadruple ship day on September 28th.

Airline Business Is Tough In Canada & Getting Tougher - Westjet CEO

The President/CEO of Westjet Airlines believes high taxes and fees are hindering the airline industry in Canada.

Gregg Saretsky told a Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce crowd that those added costs to an airline ticket make it a tough business.

Saretsky noted when Westjet offered $19 dollar one-way fares last year, a trip from Halifax to Jamaica became $190 dollars with taxes and fees.

Sea Dogs Head To QMJHL Draft This Weekend With 12 Picks

The Saint John Sea Dogs are heading to the 2016 "Q" entry draft this Saturday with 12 picks.

The Dogs have the 11th overall pick in the first round.

Last year, Saint John had a franchise-high 18 draft picks, which included taking forward Joe Veleno first overall.

The draft will be held this Saturday at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown, PEI.

Paralympic Gold Medalist Dave Durepos Speaks In Saint John

Paralympic gold medalist and Fredericton native Dave Durepos spoke in Saint John earlier today about finding meaning in life after he was involved in a motorcyle accident that left him paralyzed at 20-years-old.

Durepos is a 3-time gold medalist and played with the Canadian Men's wheelchair basketball team for almost two decades.

He says the sport changed his life.
