The International Homecoming Festival is now accepting event applications for this year's festival, which will run from August 9th to the 13th. If anyone has an event they would like included in the Festival's brochure, please pick up a form at the St. Stephen Town Hall, or call Kim at 467-6195.
You're invited to an Open Mic Night in support of the Family Resource Centre. This Thursday, June 15th, at the St. Croix Vineyard Centre at 32 Victoria Street. Starts at 7pm. Lots of local talent, admission is by donation. All proceeds go to help the local FRC. For more information call 465-8181.
The All Saints Church presents "A Northern Tapestry - A Lost World", a celebration of Canada in pictures, music, and story. Thursday, June 15th, at the Parish Hall on King Street, beginning at 7:30pm. Admission is by donation. Proceeds go to benefit the Charlotte County Cancer Society and the Hospice of Charlotte.
A Candy Land Carnival will be held at the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church, Saturday, June 17th, from 11-2pm. Games, prizes, candy, guessing games, facepainting, photobooth, temporary tattoos, and you get 24 free game tickets. An additional 24 tickets can be purchased for $2. The Guilford McFarlane Memorial Kids Fishing Derby will be this Saturday, June 17th at Hanson's Cove on the St. Croix River. No registration fee for ages 15 and under. Register at 7am, fishing goes from 8-noon. Trophies, prizes, and lunch will be provided. Please bring a camera or a cell phone as the judges need a picture to verify the size of your fish. Turning Back Time - A historical reenactment will be taking place at the Ganong Nature Park, Saturday and Sunday, June 17th and 18th, from 10am-5pm daily. Located at 350 Todd's Point Road, just outside of St. Stephen. Cost is $5 per vehicle, per day. For details, visit the Ganong Nature Park Facebook page.
A St. Stephen and Area Community Blood Drive will be held Monday, June 19th, at the St. Stephen Legion, 43 Queen Street. Canadian Blood Services will open the clinic from 2-4pm and again from 5:30-8:30pm. An addidtional 30 donors are needed. New donors and walk-ins are welcome. SummerKeys presents the Mary Potterton Memorial Concerts, Wednesdays at the Congregational Christian Church in Lubec, Maine. Concerts start at 7:30pm. St. Stephen's Holy Rosary Parish is holding its first ever Vacation Bible School, July 10th to the 14th, at St. Patrick's Hall, 407 Milltown Blvd. Monday to Thursday from 9am to noon, and Friday from 9am to 1:30pm. The 2017 Rally in the St. Croix Valley is set for August 4th, 5th, and 6th, at the St. Stephen Legion. Featuring the Parade of Lights, vendors, live music, guided ride, poker run, show and shine, beer garden, and the Elimination Draw. 1st prize: choose between a 2017 Harley Davidson Road King or a 2017 Polaris 900 Side by Side. 2nd prize $1000, 3rd prize is a Harley jacket at $200 cash.
