The town of Rothesay will have to wait until the federal government formalises its spending plans on infrastructure before finding out whether the province will come through with funding for the proposed new arena and field house. That word from Mayor Bill Bishop.
He says the provincial government wants to know if the new federal infrastructure program will have money for projects of this kind. In the meantime, the town is in a state of suspended animation. When the federal government will be unveiling its new infrastructure spending program isn't known.
The total cost is 13.5 million dollars. Bishop says funding by the federal government and town is already in place.
