If you have travel plans on Tuesday, you'll want to keep a close eye on the forecast.
That's because Environment Canada is warning about the potential for significant snowfall for parts of the Maritimes.
The national weather agency has issued a special weather statement for southern and southeastern New Brunswick — including Saint John and Moncton — as well as Nova Scotia and PEI.
Forecasters say a low pressure system is expected to form off the U.S. east coast on Monday and track south of Nova Scotia on Tuesday.
"There remains uncertainty in the forecast track of this system," reads the statement, "so slight changes could significantly alter the precipitation amounts expected."
Environment Canada is asking residents to keep an eye on the latest forecasts for up-to-date information.
