A 25 year old Moncton man suspected of sexually exploiting more than 2,000 young people online, is now facing five additional charges.
Those charges include production of child pornography, child luring, and extortion.
The man, whose name cannot be released due to a publication ban, previously pleaded guilty producing child pornography, sexual assault and making child pornography available in connection with another victim.
He is accused of posing online as a teenage girl in order to convince young boys to send him sexual images and videos, and they were then distributed online.
The new charges, forty male victims, between the ages of 10 and 16 from several countries including Canada, the US and Europe have been identified, but RCMP say there are other victims who have not been identified yet.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between November 2, 2013 and December 18, 2014.
Sergeant Jean Marc Pare says they are still asking anyone who may have been victimized to contact them.
