Port Saint John's West side $205-million modernization project, which has just received its final piece of funding via the Gallant Government, is expected to bring close to 2000 jobs over seven years.

CEO Jim Quinn says the number of construction jobs will be in the area of 1400 jobs on average per year, however he points out there will be peaks and valleys.

As for the jobs tied to container business, Quinn says they estimate they currently have five-hundred direct and indirect jobs and that will go over to well over a thousand.
