A Kent County man charged in connection with the hit and run death of 22-year-old Brady Francis of Elsipogtog First Nation was scheduled to make his first court appearance today.
56-year-old Maurice Johnson of Saint-Charles has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving bodily harm or death.
On Twitter using the hashtag "Justice for Brady", supporters say lawyer Gilles Lemieux is representing Johnson who did not appear in court today.
Supporters say Lemieux asked for more disclosure and the case has been put over until August 21st.
One "Justice for Brady" supporter said they are very patient and will return to court again and again until justice is served.
During the night of February 24th, Mounties responded to a hit and run on Saint-Charles South Road where the body of Brady Francis was found on the side of the road.
Police believe he was waiting for a drive home when he was struck by a vehicle.
