The Montreal Canadiens have clinched a berth in the playoffs. Paul Byron scored twice and Brendan Gallagher had a goal and three assists as the Canadiens beat Florida 6-2.....Toronto over Nashville 3-1 with Frederic Andersen back in goal. The Leafs have won five of their past 6 games....Tuukka Rask made 27 saves and tied a career high with his seventh shutout of the season in Boston's 2-0 win over Dallas....The Bruins have won 3 in a row to remain three points ahead of Tampa Bay for the second Eastern Conference wild card with one game in hand.....In other play, it was Tampa Bay 5 Detroit 3.....Minnesota 5 Ottawa 1.....Carolina 2 Columbus 1 in overtime.....Winnipeg 4 Anaheim 3 in overtime.....Edmonton 3 San Jose 2 and Philadelphia over the Islanders 6-3.

The 2017 New Brunswick Long Course Spring Championships are being hosted beginning today by the Saint John Fundy SwimClub at the Aquatic Centre. Teams are coming in from all over the province and from PEI, Nova Scotia and Quebec. 20 different swim teams are sending over 300 swimmers, 80 officials, parents and team staff for the event through the weekend. Many of these swimmers are training hard for the New Brunswick Swim Team and the Canada Games in Winnipeg this summer.
