In the NFL, Chris Boswell kicked a field goal on the final play shortly after Antonio Brown caught a 6 yard touchdown pass and took a hit to the head as the Pittsburgh Steelers rallied for a 23-20 win over Cincinnati to improve to 10 and 2. Bengals' linebacker Vontaze Burfict was taken off the field on a stretcher after being blocked by Pittsburgh's JuJu Smith-Shuster and Steelers' linebacker Ryan Shazier was hospitalised after suffering a back injury following a collision with Cincinnati wide receiver Josh Malone.

In the NHL, Craig Smith scored twice and added an assist in Nashville's 5-3 win over Boston.....Philadelphia broke a 10 game losing streak with a 5-2 win over Calgary......Washington downed San Jose 4-1 with Alex Ovechkin scoring his league leading 20th goal of the season and the New York Islanders got by Florida 5-4 in a shootout.

The Harbour View High Junior boys basketball team defeated St.Malachy's 87- 64 and in Senior boys play,  Harbour View High defeated St. Malachy's 96-70.

In the NBA, Dwyane Wade and Kevin Love each scored 24 points whileLeBron James had 23 and the Cleveland Cavaliers beat Chicago 113-91 for their 12th straight win......The Boston Celtics improved to 21 and 4 after a 111-100 win over Milwaukee. Liam Marin of Thistle St. Andrews won the men`s junior curling championship, 6-5 over Curl Moncton and Justine Comeau of the Capital Winter Club in Fredericton captured the junior women`s final.
