Poverty is a missing part of the conversation during the federal election campaign.
The Dignity for All Campaign was established in 2009 to clarify what is needed nationally to combat poverty.
Michele Biss of Canada Without Poverty tells us they are a bit surprised to see such a focus on the middle class.
She says by doing this the parties are ignoring the 4.8 million Canadians who struggle to make ends meet and have no hope of reaching the middle class.
40 cities across the country including Moncton will take part in the national #ChewOnThis campaign on Tuesday October 6th engaging people on the subject of poverty.
