Three men will face drug related charges after a large seizure of meth from a vehicle near Edmundston.
RCMP say over 11, 000 pills and a small amount of cocaine were seized after a vehicle was stopped on the highway last Wednesday. RCMP officers from the Federal Investigation Unit, based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, along with officers from the Edmundston Police Department conducted the search.
It is believed that the pills were packaged for widespread distribution, and were to be sold in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
Two men from Quebec, who are 27 and 49 years old, and a 25 year old New Brunswick man were arrested.
The methamphetamine pills were rectangular in shape and stamped with either the words "ICE" or "STAR".
The investigation is continuing, and further arrests and charges are possible.
