You can now go online to find assessment information about your property and others in your neighbourhood and throughout New Brunswick.

Service New Brunswick has uploaded the 2018 assessment data into its Property Assessment Online website, as well as to the GeoNB data catalogue.

The site allows you to see property sales in a neighbourhood, as well as assessment values dating back four years.

Service New Brunswick Minister Serge Rousselle says in a statement the site is useful for property owners to compare their assessed value with others.

The province says 96.5 per cent of property owners will see their 2018 assessment stay the same or decrease because of a government-implemented assessment freeze.

But because one in two local governments increased their tax rates, you may have to pay more property taxes.
