Premier Brian Gallant is going to Washington.
He's going with Maine Governor Paul LePage this week to meet with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross Jr. where he plans to talk about trade and softwood lumber.
In a release, Gallant says New Brunswick is Canada's most trade-driven province and the U.S. continues to be our province's biggest trading partner.
It's also expected that NAFTA will be on the agenda.
The latest round of NAFTA talks wrapped up in Montreal at the end of last month and the seventh round of negotiations is expected to start in Mexico on February 26th.
