The Maritime Greyhound Adoption Program hopes to find a home for a special dog, who has been passed over at the kennel in the United States.
His race name is DS Unique Unit. He was one of fourteen dogs to arrive in Canada over the weekend.
President and Founder Deb Levasseur says he is a two year old red fawn who broke a leg during his time racing, "The broken bone was just above his elbow, but the the Vet recommended not to do surgery due to the nature of the break. But the way he laid during his healing process, it resulted in the elbow always elbowing out. Because he doesn't look perfect now, many people have passed him by."
Levasseur says his previous injury doesn't cause him any pain and he doesn't require any medical work for it.
