Major Crime Investigating Report Of Teen Threatening Someone With Gun

The Saint John police's Major Crime unit is investigating a report from a caller who says he was threatened by a teen carrying a gun while walking home on the east side over the weekend.

Sergeant Lori Magee says the caller says while walking on Bonita Avenue he was approached by a group of four teenagers one of whom showed what looked like a gun and threatened him. Sergeant Magee says details are vague at this time about this particular incident.

As well, police arresting an 18-year-old man over the weekend for spraying a 22-year-old woman and the inside of a vehicle with bear spray outside a home on McLaren Boulevard in the city's north end. The woman was treated at the Regional Hospital and was later released. The man has been released from custody and will be appearing in court.

Over the weekend police responded to 448 calls for service.
