A refurbished Reversing Falls restaurant building taking another step closer to becoming a reality at the latest meeting of Common Council.

Mayor Mel Norton says the city is moving forward in working with Max Kotlowski, who offered a million dollars to buy the property, and city staff has been directed to come up with a draft lease agreement for the building.

Norton says general scope of the project involves major renovations, with many hundreds of thousands of dollars of investment which would see the building open for the 2016 tourism season.

It's expected that the draft lease agreement will come before council in September.
