Alex D’Orio made 34 saves and three more in the shootout to lead the Saint John Sea Dogs to a 3-2 victory over the Quebec Remparts. D’Orio was making his first start since November 10th after missing six games due to injury. Anthony Boucher got the shootout winner.

In the NHL, Los Angeles won its fifth straight, 3-1 over Chicago with all the goals being scored in the third period.....In other play, it was Vegas over Arizona in overtime 3-2 to improve to 16-9 and 1.....Dallas 7 Colorado 2 and Winnipeg 5 Ottawa 0. The Jets are tied for first overall in the league with Tampa Bay.

In the NFL, the New England Patriots won their eighth straight beating the Buffalo Bills 23-3 to improve to 10 and 2. Patriot tight end Rob Gronkowski has apologised to Tre'Davious White of the Bills who has been placed on the concussion protocol after a late hit. Gronkowski drove his arm into the back of White's helmet as he was lying face down on the field......Russell Wilson threw three touchdown passes as Seattle remains in the N-F-C playoff picture with a 24-10 victory over Philadelphia. The Eagles are now 10 and 2....Minnesota won its eighth in a row, 14-9 over Atlanta......Elsewhere, it was San Francisco 15 Chicago 14....Miami 35 Denver 9.....Green Bay 26 Tampa Bay 20 (OT)....NY Jets 38 Kansas City 31......Jacksonville 30 Indianapolis 10.....Ba[ltimore 44 Detroit 20.....Los Angeles Chargers 19 Cleveland 10......Oakland 24 NY Giants 17.....New Orleans 31 Carolina 21 and the Los Angeles Rams 32 Arizona 16.......Tonight, Pittsburgh takes on Cincinnati.

The Harbour View High Varsity boys basketball team defeated Oromocto, Hampton High and Harrison Trimble at the Maritime Invitational Tournament over the weekend.  

The Babe Ruth of Japan, Shohei Ohtani, will not be playing for the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees or Toronto Blue Jays who are all out of the running.
