The voices of New Brunswick's senior citizens continues to grow louder and stronger.
Several groups have come together to fight the Gallant government and its decision to use liquid assets to help pay for nursing home care.
Cecile Cassita represents the Coalition for Seniors' and Nursing Home Residents' Rights.
"This is a fight about fairness to convince the government they need to stick with the status quo and not move into savings and investments for nursing home fees."
Controversy erupted earlier this year after the Gallant government announced plans to consider seniors' liquid assets when calculating how much they can pay for nursing home care.
The proposal would also raise the cost cap per day from $113 to $175.
