The Saint John Mill Rats improved to a franchise record 3 and 0 start by downing the Moncton Miracles 121-112 at Harbour Station. Corey Allmond made six three points en route to 23 points in just the first quarter. Anthony Anderson led Saint John with 33 points.

At the World Juniors, Canada faces Sweden this afternoon at 2 Atlantic time.....Yesterday, the U.S. beat up on Switzerand 10-1.....It was Sweden over Denmark 5-0.....Finland downed Slovakia 8-3 and the Czech Republic defeated Belarus 5-3.

In the NHL, Jonathon Bernier making 39 saves as the Leafs got by Pittsburgh in a shootout 3-2......The Rangers over Tampa Bay 5-2......New Jersey shut out Ottawa 3-0......Washington rallied with 4 third period goals to win over Buffalo 5-2 as Alex Ovechkin sored twice and San Jose defeated Philadelphia 4-2.

Boston Bruins winger Brad Marchand will miss tomorrow's Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium against the Montreal Canadiens after being suspended for three games for clipping  in Tuesday night's win over Ottawa.

The Sea Dogs are back home against Charlottetown tonight at Harbour Station with a 7:00 start.
