Quispamsis Receives Funding For Wastewater Infrastructure Upgrades

Premier Brian Gallant and Fundy Royal MP Rob Moore in Quispamsis to announce the province and the feds will each be contributing $2.3-million to wastewater and sewer upgrades in the town.

Mayor Murray Driscoll says the town of Quispamsis is going to be responsible for paying the rest of the $2.3-million in project costs.

The project itself includes upgrading around 1.5 kilometres of sewer collector lines in the Ritchie Lake-Pettinghill Road area, improvements to the Longwood wastewater pumping station, and new systems at the Longwood Lagoon Treatment Facility.

Rob Moore tells us making sure we have strong water and sewage systems is important for the maintenance and growth of the community.
