A short documentary called "Moving Forward", being shown at the Saint John Public Library in Market Square to rally people around getting the country away from fossil fuels to take advantage of renewable energy.
Kevin Matthews is a former Renewable Energy Coordinator at the Conservation Council.
He says some people in New Brunswick are taking advantage of renewable energy, but more needs to be done.
Matthews says the province could take more advantage of biomass, in the form of wood waste.
He says New Brunswick is rated the sunniest province in Canada and says solar energy could heat hot water, generate electricity and produce thermal hot air systems.
