Victoriaville downed Moncton 4-2 but the Wildcats still lead that "Q" League series, 3 games to 1.

In the NHL, Philadelphia moved ahead of Detroit for the final playoff spot in the East with a 2-1 shootout win over Washington.....Ottawa got by Winnipeg 2-1 and Anaheim beat Calgary 8-3.

At the Canadian Senior Curling Championships, in women's play, New Brunswick, represented by the Heidi Hanlon rink of Thistle St Andrews, is 4 and 2 after wins over Quebec, 7-5 and the Northwest Territories, 6-2. In men's play, the Grant Odishaw rink from Riverside, representing New Brunswick, is 1 and 5 after losing 7-5 to Quebec and 11-4 to Nova Scotia.

In the NBA, the Toronto Raptors earned a franchise record 50th win of the season, 105-97 over Atlanta. San Antonio set a record with its 38th straight win at home, 100-92 over New Orleans.
