Ace Chasers Are Keeping Some People From Filling Prescriptions

Local lottery chasers are keeping some people from getting their prescriptions filled.

That word from the St. Stephen Guardian Pharmacy, who shares a parking lot with a doctor's office on King Street in St. Stephen, and is located next door to Dooley's.

Dooley's is the main location for the St. Stephen Chase the Ace tonight, which is already drawing in crowds of people hours before the tickets are being sold.

The pharmacy says because of the draw, their parking lot is already filling up, and their patients are having a hard time coming into their store to fill prescriptions or to make it to their doctor's appointments.

They are asking anyone who is Chasing the Ace tonight to find parking elsewhere, or some vehicles may be towed at the owners' expense.

In the meantime, there is plenty of free parking available in the downtown core for those wanting to take part in the lottery.

Tickets will be sold from 5pm to 9pm at four locations; Dooley's, Kelly's on King, The 5 Kings Restaurant, and the Garcelon Civic Center.

The lottery is a fundraiser for the Fundy Region Transition House. The jackpot is at $220, 157 and there are only three cards remaining in the deck.

The winning number will be broadcast on 98.1 The Tide around 9:30pm.
