A New Brunswick man just returned from his Curling the Nation tour, but he already has plans to do it again next winter.
Rob Swan curled 100 games at 100 different rinks across the country. He raised more than $6000, and the money will be used to help renovate the 54-year- old curling club in Harvey Station, which is in desperate need of upgrades.
Swan says his goal is to help other clubs across the country, who are also struggling.
He says there is no provincial or municipal support for this sport, and he says we need to implement the sport into school curriculums, so more youth are exposed to it. Swan says that is already being done in some of the larger centres across the country.
Swan has plans to curl in British Columbia, Quebec, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland, and in the territories as well this year.
