A one-day provincewide emergency preparedness exercise called Brunswick Alpha 2018 is being planned for next summer.

The scenario is the unfolding of a severe weather event across the province and will give municipal staff involved in emergency management to practice their planned responses and procedures.

All municipalities in New Brunswick are being invited to this exercise which is being organized by the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization together with the Canadian Armed Forces through Joint Task Force Atlantic.

It's happening in June of next year. There will be several planning conferences for the exercise held over the coming months with the actual exercise in June 2018.
