Millie is a senior female medium sized Chow mix who was found living beneath an underpass on the new highway. She is a sweet but timid dog who needs a calm and quiet home. September 19 Picnic @ Ganong Nature Park

Join us for a community picnic at the Ganong Nature Park just outside of St. Stephen on Sunday, September 19th from 1-5 p.m. There will be a touch tank, a working cider press, kids games, and a BBQ. The band Homemade Bread will lead a jam session so don't forget your instruments and dancing shoes! During the day we will also have a mountain bike tour, and a Nordic Walking learning workshop. And don't miss out on the stories and skit by the St. Croix Theatre Company. Come Sunday Sept. 19th to the Ganong Nature park, just outside St. Stephen."


September 24 UNICEF Train Ride

UNICEF and NB Southern Railway annual fundraiser to support children around the world will be host their fall train ride from McAdam to St. Stephen aboard the NB Southern Railway on Friday September 24. The will depart from the McAdam Station at 11:00AM and arrive in St. Stephen at Ganong Siding at 2 PM, then depart from St. Stephen at 2:30 PM and arrive in McAdam at 5:00 PM. Join the Rotary for their Annual 5K Run / walk on Sat Sept 25 at 10 am along scenic trails in Ganong Nature Park and on Todds Point Road. Register early until Sept 4th for $20. Register after that until Sept 23rd $25 and on run day $30. You will receive a souvenir T-shirt (while supplies last) and end of run refreshments! September 26 Help For Cadence Walk -A- Thon

Six year old Cadence Gaddas Saunders has a rare disorder that affects her pancreas, skeletal system and Bone Marrow. She will be heading to Toronto for a bone Marrow Transplant. To help raise money for the trip a walkathon has been organized. Get a team together, family, co-workers, schools or simply walk individually. Walk takes place Sunday September 26th at The St. George Legion .. Registration between 12 and 22 start time set for 2:30. Sponsor sheets can be picked up at The Scotia Bank in St. George and remember to wear Blue and show your support as Cadence’s favorite color is Blue.
